In an effort to explain in somewhat simple terms how L.A.S.T. can improve a patients quality of life, I designed this simple to follow flow chart.
The ligamentous system is part of the connective tissue lovingly referred to as the Multimicrovacular Collagenic Dynamic Absorbing System. The role of this rubbery elastic shock absorbing system, found everywhere in our organism, is to avoid reaching a threshold of resistance at which the collagen might shear, leading to injury.
L.A.S.T. is one form of treatment which attempts to help stimulate the innate self correcting healing properties of the body in order to return it to it’s pre-injured homeostatic state.
